SYNOPSIS

TThis documentary explores the effect of war and displacement on refugee men from Syria.

It examines the psychological and societal effects of war and displacement as they impact the individual, the family and the community, shedding light on issues that have so fare gone neglected.

Refugee men are finding themselves under extreme stress as they have had to forego their traditional gender roles as "providers" and "protectors" of their families, often leaving them with feelings of helplessness and disempowerment as they find themselves forcibly unproductive, having nothing to do all day long.
