SYNOPSIS

 

This short documentary aims at outlining the Public Health Major in the American University of Beirut and the ways in which it can be used and understood, to broaden the scope of Public Health in policy making, modern day medicine, economics and the way to improve the health of the population of the world.

 

The second part of this documentary highlights the ignorance of the Lebanese citizens on the term “Public Health”.  Public Health includes everything around us, from personal hygiene to road safety. Finally, it draws an important conclusion, that Public Health is a concept that can not be disregarded.
