SYNOPSIS

Almost four years after the start of the war in Syria a large number of Syrian refugee children and adolescents in Lebanon are still attending school.

 

A group of mostly Syria women came together in an independent initiative to try to respond to this urgent need, by establishing schools in the Beqa’a area in collaboration with muncipalities and civil society organizations. The schools have opened opportunities for the children and provided employment to qualified Syrian teachers who are also taking refuge in Lebanon.
